Butyl rubber coatings offer very low thermal conductivity, very low moisture and air transmission rate and excellent adhesion with flexibility.  They are resistant to water, U.V. light and damping, accommodate thermal movement and have a wide service temperature range - 40°C to + 120° C. There is good weather resistance in this non-oil resistant compound. Butyl rubber coatings also have excellent dielectric properties andexcellent resistance to ketones, ozone, paint, ink dryer and saturated inorganic salt solutions.
